Seat presents its fourth aardgasmodel, the Arona CNG. It is also the most environmentally friendly SUV that you can buy at Seat.
Seat has three aardgasmodellen before, but never made the brand a CNG installation in a SUV. The Arona 1.0 TGI emits up to 75 percent less CO2 than the benzineversie. To achieve that, you groengas refuelling, that about half of the Dutch aardgasstations is offered. With fossil natural gas is the reduction in CO2 emissions compared to driving on petrol to 25 per cent. Moreover, it repels the Arona CNG 75 percent fewer NOx particles.
The Arona has three CNG tanks under the rear seat and the cargo area. In total, there 14,3 kilograms of natural gas are filling, good for a theoretical range of 350 miles. On petrol, driving the Arona, if desired, a further 160 kilometres. In cold weather, start the SUV always on gasoline, but within a maximum of 1 minute to switch the car over to natural gas. The tanks represent a part of the cargo area, of the original 400 litre remains of 282 litres.
The 1.0 petrol engine, is on several points and adapted and optimised for running on natural gas. The power is 90 hp and switch with a manual gearbox with six gears.
Seat start at the beginning of 2019 with deliveries in the Netherlands, the prices in the run-up to the market launch.
