Samsung Galaxy S9 will get Android 9-update
The long-awaited Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the Samsung Galaxy S9 (Plus) was on 24th of december worldwide available. Samsung started with a phased roll-out, with more and more users, the update can download. As christmas gift from today, and the Dutch owners of a S9 (Plus) get started with the Pie-update. Multiple users on Twitter and in the comments on our website that the update is ready. You will automatically get a notification, but a manual check can also. Go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Software update’.
The Pie update comes with a totally new version of Samsung’s interface. That used to be called TouchWiz, then Samsung Experience and now One ONION. Because of its size (almost 1.8 GB) it is recommended to use the software update to download via a wi-fi connection. Samsung recommends to make a backup of your device before you install the update.
This is new in Android 9.0 (Pie)
With Android 9.0 (Pie) and the One UI interface, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus with the latest software. The update adds, among other things, a night mode that the display in the evening warmer colors, which is more comfortable for your eyes.
